The shelter provides a warm place for the homeless to come in and get a warm cup of coffee, sandwich and also a hot shower. This non-profit gets very little funding of any kind and desperately needs help in the following areas: Coffee & Coffee Supplies, coffee, creamer, sugar, cups and supplies - Bar Soap - Shampoo - White Towels - They also desperately need a set of commercial grade washer/dryers to do the vast amount of <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_1" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">laundry</span> that piles up daily.<br /><br />Please look into you hearts and make a donation to help support their mission efforts of getting our local homeless off the street and into permanent housing. Much of the produce is grown in a managed, organic garden at the shelter under the supervision and direction of leading organic farmers in this region. The Veterans Shelter houses 225 men on an ongoing basis while getting them back on their feet, employed, and empowered with the life skills needed to cope with everyday situations.
